Human Resources Manager


Human Resources Manager provides tactical and strategic Human Resource (HR) generalist oversight for Commercial group or team and may have responsibility for managing HR professionals supporting the client group.

・Providing leadership direction and expertise for the full scope of HR functions including: salaried and non-salaried employee relations employee compensation employee engagement and organizational design/change and recruiting and selection
・Leading and leveraging GE HR processes within the business (Performance Management and Salary Planning/Reward Management and Succession Planning and Talent Management) cross-functional communication and the transfer of learning and best practice sharing within the HR network
・Participating on the leadership team
・Partnering with client leadership to plan and execute strategies that ensure maximum engagement of human resource capital while actively managing headcount targets and assisting in budget management
・Partnering with local and country HR managers to implement strategies and drive HR initiatives that contribute to the development of HR strategies and facilitate the implementation of the business
・Ensuring a dynamic pipeline of talent through rigorous performance management / leadership assessments / coaching and development of employees / candid and timely performance feedback
・Recruiting/mentoring/coaching & training direct (if applicable) and indirect reports on activities within areas of responsibility
・Managing direct reports in supporting the implementation of HR strategies and management of HR processes within the business (if applicable)
・Proactively managing HR systems in order to maintain integrity of employee and organizational data


・Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Human Resources Industrial Relations Industrial/Organizational Psychology or a related discipline in which business knowledge and an understanding of human resource practices are gained
・Minimum seven years of increasing HR generalist responsibility (i.e. handling employee relations compensation recruiting and performance management) and leadership experience with clear career progression
・Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions evaluate people manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment and effectively interface with high-level business and operations leaders
・Outstanding communication coaching and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization
・Ability to support clients in multiple locations and open to global travel
・Strong analytical and problem solving skills
・Process and detail oriented including strong organizational and prioritization skills
・Sound knowledge of local labor laws and government requirements
・Japanese/English fluent

・Advanced degree in Business HR management or Industrial Relations
・Proven project management and team leadership experience
・An impact player with proven ability to drive change in an effective and participative manner
・Experience driving business solutions through influence and collaboration in a global matrix organization
・Able to energize and inspire others to commit to and take action on business priorities
・Resourceful and innovative and persuasive
・Strong presentation skills
・Oracle HR systems knowledge
